    It's a tourist trap. I expected that.

It's a tourist trap. I expected that. Streets remained clean, even on Memorial Day Weekend. No known panhandling, prostitution, or graffiti. Need more breakfast alternatives. Few restaurants open then and most advertise pancakes. We ate a Crocketts. Wonderful place.

The smoky mountains are nice but Gatlinburg is just a money pit. If you want to experience the smoky mountains I would recommend just staying in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville and driving to the mountains. Gatlinburg itself is like a mile long gift shop/ flea market of triple priced goods. 2 two litter mountain dews were over $13

Greystone Lodge on the river is a great choice. My first time in Gatlinburg I searched hotels and I think I picked the best one. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed it so much we came back the next year for vacation. Beautiful views of the river and town from our room, friendly and helpful staff, free parking, free breakfast with lots of options, clean spacious room, within walking distance of many attractions. The 2 gentlemen at the check in counter were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain all the hotel amenities to us. The hotel looks to be recently updated with a modern/ mountain feel; a great hotel feel for Gatlinburg. The hotel was very clean and the fireplace a little balcony were nice perks. Awesome location which made walking around downtown super convenient.

Our 7 year old son had a blast playing in the indoor and outdoor pools. The pool side cafe was pretty good and much better priced than heading into downtown Gatlinburg. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A short walk or trolley ride and you right downtown. With it being in Gatlinburg, for the price it was a great place to stay!

I chose Gatlinburg Inn mainly on the location, it is perfectly centered on the strip and next to the sky lift. The Hotel has a nice retro/classic feel to it. A little bit of history behind it. Too clean accommodation, located on a mountain peak close to downtown Gatlinburg, and parking plenty of three. All the dining equipment is in place, and bedding and towels seem to be five-star.
